Cook’s Corner is a legendary biker bar that stands as a proud symbol of forgotten freedom in a sea of ever-encroaching cookie-cutter houses and the inevitable “progress” of Orange County, California. It’s the perfect spot to host a party the night before Born Free since there are thousands of riders in the area eager for the weekend’s festivities to start.

The People’s Champ party officially kicks off at 3:00 Friday afternoon. We will be riding with the builders across Ortega Highway that morning and then shooting interviews, setting up the event infrastructure and getting the bikes placed on their platforms.

There will be a Biltwell 10×10 Ez-Up canopy with some of our crew selling merch and handing out tickets. These tickets act as your “vote” and your hand will get marked when you get one to avoid double votes. Each bike platform will have a voting box and you just drop your ticket in the one you wish to vote for. Couldn’t be much simpler. At 8:00PM we bag up the tickets and triple count ‘em. Around 8:30, Otto will announce the winner, we’ll all clap and hoot, the trophy and check will be handed over and we’ll call it a night. Once it starts going down, it happens fast, so make sure to be around the upper bar area by 8:00PM or so. It’s standing room only and the suspense is pretty intense.
